Flight of the Raven

This book picks up immediately were the first book stopped, and continues to build this epic tale.
I can't believe how much I have enjoyed this world. You absolutely need to read this series in order! 
In Flight of the Raven we see Selene and Damien's relationship grow and see Selene discovering what her gift was meant for. I especially loved her spiritual journey in this book. This spiritual allegory is probably going to be one of my new favorites.
My only tiny complaint was that I had wished for Selene and Damien to have worked and talked out some of their problems more with each other, but that is me being picky.
I dove into this series expecting to be entertained in a different world from all the craziness going on, but it is so much more. I find myself challenged and exhorted to pray more and to focus my eyes on my Lord.

Undercurrent of Secrets

Okay this is officially my favorite Rachel Scott McDaniel book yet! This book is a split time that is so well balanced between the past and the present. I loved the light thread of mystery and the contemporary just was so good. I loved the romance in both time periods. There were some absolutely adorable and swoony scenes in both that just was my favorite parts of this book. I loved the setting of the riverboat! So interesting how the author used an actual boat for the setting and so you get that peek into the lives of people who lived the riverboat life. If you want to feel transported grab this one, it's a gem. Thanks to Netgally I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are honest and my own.

To Believe in You

I had seen this author's books floating around on Instagram and jumped at the chance to grab one on Netgally. Yes, I started with the last book in the series. It in no way lessened my enjoyment of this beautiful story. I love stories of people who get second chances. I love the opposites attract trope. And I love a strong redemption arc. This book had all of that. The author crafters characters that have their own flaws and struggles. I loved the hero. Though wounded and scarred from his past mistakes, he was lovable and I couldn't help but root for him. I loved his protective nature as well. Always here for the protective hero. The heroine is the opposite of him in many ways, and yet she was so relatable to a fellow rule abider like myself. I loved the way each character had to work through their struggles.
