Blood from a Stone

Let me catch my breath.   My reviews may seem a bit repetitive.  Yet each installment has sent me on the rollercoaster of emotions and tension and suspense! Yes I love this series and I feel like the stakes are raised with each book in this series.  The cliffhangers get more intense with each book, yet I am so invested with these characters that I eagerly wait for the moment I can get my hands on the next one.  The suspense is there, the moments that pull the heartstrings and moments of humor that perfectly balance all the intense moments.  It is the perfect balance of all things I love. This book sets up the series for what I anticipate to be a killer of a climax.  I am trying not to spoil anything,  because so much is at stake in this book that , I am just dying! Ahhhhhh! If you are looking for a series, full of twists,  a great cast of characters and tight writing, I highly recommend this series.  I recieved a complementary copy of this book from the publisher.  All opinions in this

Hanging by a Moment

I have loved the time I have been able to spend in Deep Haven this year. These books have been  a sort of "comfort food" read each time.  this story follows a character that long time readers may recognize, Collene Decker (from You Don't know me).I really thought her character stayed true to what we had already known anout her while giving us a chance to catch up with her. I will admit I was realy intruiged by the hero of this story. I love complex backstories and this one is one you don't see offten in contemporary Christian Romance.  And while I was reading I I learned more about air rescue and flight nurses. very interesting. I had the urge to even try rock climbing, but I think I know my limits and will stick with hiking. This book had a very even pace and had a bit of angst to drive the story. At some points I was getting frusturated when the characters didn't comunicate or did'nt rise to the growth that I wanted to see. I get that these moments were wher

Great series you never want to end. I have absolutely loved each journey into this time of war, rebellion and healing.  And now we can read about the two people who brought some of those very special D'argent people into this world.  If you have read the first three books in the series you get the gist of what happens in Godfroi and Robine's story,  but Tamara Leigh takes you inside their story,  with all the twists, turns,  triumphs and hardships.  I was so impressed with how she took this tale and wove such depth and hope into it.  It has all the trademark elements of any of her other stories,  yet feels fresh. This bookis unique in the way that it covers a much longer period of time then her other books, but it perfectly fits the story. Oh and one of my favorite things was seeing young Guarin and Cyr! I loved this look at how they were when they were young. Makes me want to go and reread their stories.  Robine really shone as a heroine in this tale, she grows so much and has
