The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck

Wow! This book had so much. It was one of those stories that makes you think, makes you reflect, and makes me rejoice in the amazing Author who is our creator. This is a great time split novel, it didn't work out like I thought it was going to, but where that usually makes me frustrated, this twist made me reflect on how God is in control and even though things don't always go the way we want them to, He is in control and He has a plan that is beautiful. Each of the characters felt so real, it didn't matter if the were in 1780 or present day. I cheered for then, felt for them, and that is what pulled me in. Though fictional, these characters reminded me that no matter what our future looks like, we can trust our Shepherd, we can follow Him.

My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade

All the feels, all over again, read this the second time!  This book is such a beautiful work of fiction! The prologue itself sets the stage for a story that lives deep in the heart after the last page. I loved the message of waiting on God's direction, even when it's hard to know what He is doing. I loved how this book was both light and deep, it explores real pain, real struggles and a really good message. I adore Kate and Matt, they are opposite in some ways and I just adored seeing them grow over the span of the story.

I picked this book up because I was waiting for another book and I decided to read something light and easy before it came. I completely taken by surprise by how much I enjoyed it! This book is a "fake relationship"/"hate-love", a recipe for a great time in my opinion! I loved the snappy comebacks, the sarcastic banter between the two characters that just made the book. We see the characters grow in their faith and with their others around them. Typically, we don't see much "fake relationship" in the CF world, I think that is because in a fake relationship, you are portraying something that you are not. I really liked how the author had the characters struggle with the dishonest part of it and still attempted to keep up the charade for their own reasons. This book was just such a fun treat! I have never read a Jenny b Jones book before, but you can bet on me reading more! #bookcommunity

Runaway Bride by Jody Hedlund

Image
As soon as I was introduced to Arabella in the first book I was eagerly anticipating her story.  But you guys....... nothing prepared me for how wonderful this story is! Jody Hedlund has outdone herself! This second installment of the Bride ship series is even better than the first! Arabella is a character that you can't help but root for. She is wounded by her past, but watching her grow and become strong is just an amazing story. Pete is a fantastic hero! He is confident, funny and the absolute perfect character to help Arabella. Normally the flirty, outgoing type of heroes are not my favorite, but Pete has this magnetic optimistic outlook that is practically contagious! I loved how the author wove these two opposite personality types together and had them grow in their individual struggles and their faith. This positively swoon worthy romance is blended with historical detail and a inspirational message. This is everything I look for in a historical romance. I could ...
