Mark of the raven by Morgan Busse

If you know me at all, you know that I am not a huge fantasy fan. It is few and far between that I am even tempted to try it. However. When I come across a good one, I am captivated. Consider me captivated. The first few chapters were a bit tough for me to wrap my mind around, and I did have concerns of where the whole "dark Lady" thing was going. Buuuut It was really good. I am thankful for my brother who is into lucid dreaming. After hearing him talk about it for so long I think I was prepared for the Dreamwalking element of the story. And I really liked Damien! I am so glad I did wait until now to read it because all of the books are out and I can just read one after another. I really appreciate the allegory quality of this series. One thing that usually keeps me from getting into fantasy is a heavy magic element, or one that feels to close to sorcery. It goes against my convictions to get into that kind of stuff.
