never too late

With the banter of a friends to more, the angst of a unrequited love, and the power of a slow burn. This contemporary romance has it all! . Seriously this book was incredible! Evan may even bump Jonah from his throne of #1 Tuttle Hero. Evan was awesome. Everything I enjoy in a great contemporary hero. He is confident, swoony, protective and has a bit of a past that shadows his present. I adored his patient pursuit of Rachael, it was so good! Rachael has some big steps to grow from. I was intrigued by her character from book 1 and I was so excited for her story! I loved how the author took the time to dive into what drove and what hindered Rachael from moving forward in life. The faith message was so very well woven into the story and there were some deep metaphors and points that anyone can appreciate and apply. Bravo! Absolutely adored seeing characters from Love you Truly!!!!!! That was the icing on the cake! I recieved a complementary copy of this book from the author. All opinions

Ever since I was introduced to the hero of thos book in Crazy for you I was definitely looking forward to reading his story.  I was really looking forward to reading a story with lots of dogs! And sledge dogs to boot! With the promise of a bit of hidden identity.....yep, sounds like a great read! . That this type of story takes place in Deep Haven, one of me favorite fictional places,  where I have spent a good portion of the year in was another enjoyable part of this book. . This is the kind of book you want to curl up within a cold winter day with hot cocoa nearby! . This story was quickly paced and kept my attention.  There were a few things that had me questioning the probability of that happening but it was still an enjoyable read.  I recieved a complementary copy of this book from the publisher and all the opinions in this review are honest and completely my own.

I love how Jody hedlund writes historical romance.  She let's you dive right into a scene with action or has meaning through the rest of the book. In this case we witness a rescue scene that sets the stage for two very different characters to be thrown together.  The chemistry between Flynn and Linnea was on point and you could feel it even though they each had their own reasons for trying to fight it. Ah such good conflict! I did enjoy the character arc of Flynn the most,  I really appreciated how he had to learn how to let go of the need to be in control,  a need truly based off fear. I often find the "lady scientist " character type hard to like because they often times come across as pushy, abrasive and downright rude.  Linnea was a really sweet character and her motivation felt genuine from her love of exploring nature.  I do wish her character grew a little in the area that her identity didn't depend on what she did (I personally believe we are more then a chose
