The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck

Wow!
This book had so much.
It was one of those stories that makes you think, makes you reflect, and makes me rejoice in the amazing Author who is our creator.
This is a great time split novel, it didn't work out like I thought it was going to, but where that usually makes me frustrated, this twist made me reflect on how God is in control and even though things don't always go the way we want them to, He is in control and He has a plan that is beautiful.
Each of the characters felt so real, it didn't matter if the were in 1780 or present day. I cheered for then, felt for them, and that is what pulled me in. Though fictional, these characters reminded me that no matter what our future looks like, we can trust our Shepherd, we can follow Him.

Undercurrent of Secrets

Okay this is officially my favorite Rachel Scott McDaniel book yet! This book is a split time that is so well balanced between the past and the present. I loved the light thread of mystery and the contemporary just was so good. I loved the romance in both time periods. There were some absolutely adorable and swoony scenes in both that just was my favorite parts of this book. I loved the setting of the riverboat! So interesting how the author used an actual boat for the setting and so you get that peek into the lives of people who lived the riverboat life. If you want to feel transported grab this one, it's a gem. Thanks to Netgally I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are honest and my own.

To Believe in You

I had seen this author's books floating around on Instagram and jumped at the chance to grab one on Netgally. Yes, I started with the last book in the series. It in no way lessened my enjoyment of this beautiful story. I love stories of people who get second chances. I love the opposites attract trope. And I love a strong redemption arc. This book had all of that. The author crafters characters that have their own flaws and struggles. I loved the hero. Though wounded and scarred from his past mistakes, he was lovable and I couldn't help but root for him. I loved his protective nature as well. Always here for the protective hero. The heroine is the opposite of him in many ways, and yet she was so relatable to a fellow rule abider like myself. I loved the way each character had to work through their struggles.
