The kissing tree

 I don't read a ton of novella collections, however with these authors all together how could I not read it?
This is a beautiful collection of stories,  I found that each story built upon the previous.
Regina's was so sweet. Karen's was just all the sweet romance and depth that I come to expect from her books. Amanda's was woven in her uniquely lyrical voice that pulls you in and reveals treasure within the story. 
Denise's story topped it all off with such a beautiful story.  She actually made me cry.  Like twice.  That has never happened to me in a novella people. 
It was just so beautiful. 
My seriously sentimental side cheered for the tree as if it took on a life of it's own and was the embodiment of the steadfast, and enduring. 
Now I want to have a little acorn in my house somewhere! *sniff*

Undercurrent of Secrets

Okay this is officially my favorite Rachel Scott McDaniel book yet! This book is a split time that is so well balanced between the past and the present. I loved the light thread of mystery and the contemporary just was so good. I loved the romance in both time periods. There were some absolutely adorable and swoony scenes in both that just was my favorite parts of this book. I loved the setting of the riverboat! So interesting how the author used an actual boat for the setting and so you get that peek into the lives of people who lived the riverboat life. If you want to feel transported grab this one, it's a gem. Thanks to Netgally I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are honest and my own.

To Believe in You

I had seen this author's books floating around on Instagram and jumped at the chance to grab one on Netgally. Yes, I started with the last book in the series. It in no way lessened my enjoyment of this beautiful story. I love stories of people who get second chances. I love the opposites attract trope. And I love a strong redemption arc. This book had all of that. The author crafters characters that have their own flaws and struggles. I loved the hero. Though wounded and scarred from his past mistakes, he was lovable and I couldn't help but root for him. I loved his protective nature as well. Always here for the protective hero. The heroine is the opposite of him in many ways, and yet she was so relatable to a fellow rule abider like myself. I loved the way each character had to work through their struggles.
