Reckless by Tamara Leigh

I have so enjoyed every one of the books in this series! And Reckless is another wonderful addition to the series.
While it was a bit slower building in the beginning (I didn'thavemuch readingtime when I starede though), once it gets going I was completely absorbed into the story and stayed up  Waaaaaaaaay to late to finish the book.
Worth it!
I loved how the characters really grew over the course of the story.
Nicola really grew up and learned so much.
I just have loved seeing these characters find their way. 
Happy sigh.
Tamara Leigh's books are filled with authentic feeling setting in Medieval Europe,  the sword fights are on point!
And practically every book in this series has a type of enemies to lovers so that is a win for me!
They have peril and swoon worthy romance. 
All the things!
Highly recommended this series for someone looking for clean adult medieval romance.

Undercurrent of Secrets

Okay this is officially my favorite Rachel Scott McDaniel book yet! This book is a split time that is so well balanced between the past and the present. I loved the light thread of mystery and the contemporary just was so good. I loved the romance in both time periods. There were some absolutely adorable and swoony scenes in both that just was my favorite parts of this book. I loved the setting of the riverboat! So interesting how the author used an actual boat for the setting and so you get that peek into the lives of people who lived the riverboat life. If you want to feel transported grab this one, it's a gem. Thanks to Netgally I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are honest and my own.

I had seen this author's books floating around on Instagram and jumped at the chance to grab one on Netgally. Yes, I started with the last book in the series. It in no way lessened my enjoyment of this beautiful story. I love stories of people who get second chances. I love the opposites attract trope. And I love a strong redemption arc. This book had all of that. The author crafters characters that have their own flaws and struggles. I loved the hero. Though wounded and scarred from his past mistakes, he was lovable and I couldn't help but root for him. I loved his protective nature as well. Always here for the protective hero. The heroine is the opposite of him in many ways, and yet she was so relatable to a fellow rule abider like myself. I loved the way each character had to work through their struggles.
