Storing up trouble by Jen Turano

Jen Turano is the queen of quirky characters that sweep you away in whimsical, hilarious adventures!
Storing up trouble is a new on my list of favorite Jen Turano books!
The two main characters are complete opposites and get off on the wrong foot from the beginning. 
I love that!
This is the beginning of a truly enchanting story!
Full of witty comebacks, sassy characters and a touch of peril  this final book in the series is not to be missed!
Mini rant-
I am finding the constant talk of women's rights issues and unequal pay talk incredibly redundant in historical fiction lately. If you spend any amount of time in the genre you are aware of the difference in time, and the challenges they faced. I actually found it ironic that one of the pay issues was linked to men more commonly treating marketing and retail as a career choice not a hobby or side hustle. Then the female lead takes a job with no plans for it being her lifelong career and still she was complaining about her pay. That irked me, but I moved on.
Rant over.
This is definitely an enjoyable book not ment to be taken too seriously,  just fun, and for that it was just perfect.

Undercurrent of Secrets

Okay this is officially my favorite Rachel Scott McDaniel book yet! This book is a split time that is so well balanced between the past and the present. I loved the light thread of mystery and the contemporary just was so good. I loved the romance in both time periods. There were some absolutely adorable and swoony scenes in both that just was my favorite parts of this book. I loved the setting of the riverboat! So interesting how the author used an actual boat for the setting and so you get that peek into the lives of people who lived the riverboat life. If you want to feel transported grab this one, it's a gem. Thanks to Netgally I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are honest and my own.

To Believe in You

I had seen this author's books floating around on Instagram and jumped at the chance to grab one on Netgally. Yes, I started with the last book in the series. It in no way lessened my enjoyment of this beautiful story. I love stories of people who get second chances. I love the opposites attract trope. And I love a strong redemption arc. This book had all of that. The author crafters characters that have their own flaws and struggles. I loved the hero. Though wounded and scarred from his past mistakes, he was lovable and I couldn't help but root for him. I loved his protective nature as well. Always here for the protective hero. The heroine is the opposite of him in many ways, and yet she was so relatable to a fellow rule abider like myself. I loved the way each character had to work through their struggles.
