Cry of the Raven

This series has been amazing.
Not only was it a fantasy series that I fully enjoyed, it was a series that reminded me and challenged me to treat prayer as a gift and something that I need to spend more time doing.
Everything was set for the climax in this book, and it was so well woven that I couldn't stop thinking about it.
The romance junkie in me wished that there was a bit more interaction between Damien and Selene, but it fit how the story was designed.
It really made me think if how even though I am not a dreamwalker (wink), I can truly intercede and do battle on behalf of others while in prayer and communion with my Lord.
Prayer is so often treated like an afterthought, or something to do when you can't do anything else. It is an undervalued privilege.
While deeply allegorical and with clear spiritual insight this story let me meditate on the real battle, while the fictional characters fought a fictional one.
This series has some serious substance, that I have not ever seen before in a YA series, I actually forgot that it was labeled YA as I was experiencing the journey (trust me, that's a good thing).
