Still the One by Rachel D Russell

Yes! Back to Deep Haven!
I was very intrigued when Susan may Warren announced that she was going to have new authors join her in writing Deep Haven stories. 
What would they be like?
I was completely pulled into this story!
It had the drama,  romance and formula that I love in Susan's books, and so many characters from Deep Haven that I loved.
I really enjoyed this author's voice and the way she told this story. 
I am a huge sucker for veteran stories! What really touched me was the heroines struggle with her own feelings of being unworthy,  man that hit home for me. A struggle I'm sure many have and told in a way that gives such hope.
I read this while on vacation,  tucked into a cabin,  it was perfect!
This story is a type of second chance romance that pulled at my emotions and I really enjoyed it!

Undercurrent of Secrets

Okay this is officially my favorite Rachel Scott McDaniel book yet! This book is a split time that is so well balanced between the past and the present. I loved the light thread of mystery and the contemporary just was so good. I loved the romance in both time periods. There were some absolutely adorable and swoony scenes in both that just was my favorite parts of this book. I loved the setting of the riverboat! So interesting how the author used an actual boat for the setting and so you get that peek into the lives of people who lived the riverboat life. If you want to feel transported grab this one, it's a gem. Thanks to Netgally I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions in this review are honest and my own.

To Believe in You

I had seen this author's books floating around on Instagram and jumped at the chance to grab one on Netgally. Yes, I started with the last book in the series. It in no way lessened my enjoyment of this beautiful story. I love stories of people who get second chances. I love the opposites attract trope. And I love a strong redemption arc. This book had all of that. The author crafters characters that have their own flaws and struggles. I loved the hero. Though wounded and scarred from his past mistakes, he was lovable and I couldn't help but root for him. I loved his protective nature as well. Always here for the protective hero. The heroine is the opposite of him in many ways, and yet she was so relatable to a fellow rule abider like myself. I loved the way each character had to work through their struggles.
